I am starting my new internship today. I will be working on flash based animation and learning Toon Boom Studio, which is like flash -but better because it was designed by animators and not web designers and programmers. I'll being doing this internship for the next 3 months, 2 days a week. I don't have any professional experience on my resume for Animating, so it makes it a little difficult for employers to hire me. So with this all have some real world experience working in a real animation company and not just my academic production animation experience that I have on there now.
I think the best thing I can say is that, if your looking for work and after a good bit of time you can't get hired anywhere then try taking up a internship somewhere. This way you are still active within your profession and still learning and make stuff.
